Pop-up Mad About Mushrooms

There is one upside to all of the rain we've been having, the fungi are loving it! Giuseppe is just preparing some wild mushrooms on toast as I write - a delicious mix of 'hedgehog', 'bay boletus', 'brown birch boletus', 'chanterelles' and 'puffball'. Mark Pike (our Dorset Fungus Group expert) called yesterday to tell me about the wonderful ceps he had found. We both decided it was time to share all the fungi that are springing up daily.

POP UP COURSE - 'MAD ABOUT MUSHROOMS', 30 August, 9.30am-4pm, £110, a morning foray led by Mark Pike, followed by lunch and an afternoon of cleaning, preserving and cooking delicious mushroom recipes.


31 August, 9.30am-1pm, £75, a morning foray followed by lunch. This course is designed for those of you who have done the course before, but would like to affirm your identification skills - so, a morning foray with Mark and Giuseppe followed by lunch back at the cookery school (you don't need to have completed the original course, but there isn't an afternoon of cleaning, cooking and preserving on this one).


Booking closes on Sunday, 28th August (we need to confirm minimum numbers to be able to run the courses).
